Looking for MMA? Get Your Overdose Here

Mixed Martial Arts is brutal, bloody, sometimes bone-breaking...
...and funny?
"MMA Overdose is Utah’s only podcast that combines the awesome sport of Mixed Martial Arts with comedy," says MMA Overdose host and actor/comedian Jose "Da Baby Gorilla" Bacio.
Bacio and his two co-hosts Mark "The Hurricane" Hawes (an ex-boxer) and Mike "The Body" Jenkins (a well-known stand-up comedian) record a 30 to 40-minute MMA podcast every week. The trio has interviewed Steven “Razor” Sharp, "who is well known in the local MMA community for being a bad ass fighter," says Bacio, and plan to schedule a fury of other local and national fighters in the near future.
The idea for the podcast came from one of Jenkins' monthly UFC-watching party.
“We would always be talking about recent MMA news and cracking jokes,” says Jenkins.
Their amateur MMA commentary ensued in the form of "The Man Hour," the trio's first podcast, on which they interviewed such famed UFC fighters as Houston “The Assassin” Alexander, Jeremy Horn and Ultimate Fighter Season 7 winner Amir Sadollah. Their witty punches continue to roll on MMA Overdose, which is uploaded to their Web site, mmaoverdose.com, every Tuesday.
So wrap your fists and prepare yourself for a sharp-tongue whooping on MMA Overdose. But first, read a few words I elicited from the hosts.
WHY MMA?
Group: MMA is a fascinating sport from the first UFC to its recent incarnation of rules. The Boys of Winter, as people never call them, chose to podcast a show about MMA due to the lack of entertaining shows available in that specific genre.
Mark: A huge reason why we started this podcast was so that we can share our love for the sport with everyone else. We also want to focus the light on our very own fighters here in Utah. There’s a pool of great talent that people should be aware of and we want to them to be recognized.
Jose: The sport of MMA, to me, is what water is to people; if I don’t have it I will die. Especially in this recession, I don’t think my parents would have enough funds to pay for my funeral.
Mike: MMA is a lot like Christmas; it brings friends and families closer together.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD LISTENERS KNOW?
Group: Check out our website www.mmaoverdose.com to listen to our show and to check out MMA fights in the Salt Lake area. Jose is also looking for a date to take for some of these upcoming fights. Unfortunately he is not what you call a “Chick Magnet." You can also find him lurking on craigslist.

Love the show!!!
While we all know multi-tasking isn't for the male gender, it's impossible to carry on a conversation with mike when he is wrapped up in MMA. Investing in a large TV became a necessity for Mike to continue hosting his monthly UFC fights. Now that Mike has his love - MMAOVERDOSE, I can continue shopping as much as necessary which really equates to daily.
Good job Guys!
